Morgan played a female character as a woman in the AIDS prevention and educational video Safe Sex for Men and Women. Morgan donated a portion of her earnings to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is a member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan was the primary driver behind numerous fund-raising efforts for the spread of the disease. Morgan also gave a speech to the Congressional special committee on AIDS education. Morgan is on the board of Governors of APLA as well as Amfar. Former Surgeon-General C. Everett Koop has asked her on occasion to be his substitute during AIDS events and she has presented an AIDS Awareness Special together with anchorman Steve Bell. Ted Koppell asked her to appear twice on Nightline in relation to AIDS. Morgan is nominated by the Emmys for Diane English's Murphy Brown special written especially specifically for Morgan. Morgan co-starred on ABC TV's Your Money or Your Wife during the spring season along with Joan Rivers. The summer began by starring in Murder At The PTA Luncheon which was directed by Von Zerneck/Sertner and was also co-starring Cindy Williams and Marla Gibbs. Morgan's next production sent Morgan to Luxembourg to star in Harmony Gold's production Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady which also starred Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan was also in the thriller of psychological suspense which was produced exclusively for the USA Network garnering one of the most impressive ratings in the network's history.
